This session will take a deep dive into what is involved in an independent audit of an employee benefit plan.We will start with the requirements for when a plan needs an audit, why an audit is important and how to choose a quality auditor. We will then discuss the audit process from the request list at the beginning to the deliverables at the end. Internal controls will be discussed including how to use SOC 1 reports from third party providers.
